Telling your story to those you love can serve two purposes: You get to know yourself better, and you also leave behind your story for those who survive you. This is an invitation for you to speak about what have been the pertinent aspects of your life and the legacy you wish to leave. You don’t have to be dying to tell your story. Whether you are 50 or 95, in good health, or at the end of your life, our stories are visual memories which might answer questions and resolve personal mysteries.
Your story will allow your offspring to know you through your own words and better understand the family dynamics. This narrative might allow descendants to make more sense of their own lives by drawing analogies to your story. Together we’ll record the pertinent and meaningful experiences that make up your life story. Your loved ones will have the recording as a tangible way to feel connected to you if you’re no longer physically here. Your life is too precious to be forgotten.
