Weddings and the complex family dynamics they can invoke…

“Behind every wedding is a story of a parent and child’s relationship. Each story is as unique as a snowflake, yet each contains the same essential truths.”
– Valerie Kay

Weddings are a time for joyous celebration. However, along with joy, family members often find themselves experiencing unexpected and seemingly unacceptable emotions. Often, they feel they can’t talk about these feelings for fear of being judged, or for fear of hurting their relationship with their family member. Suppressing these emotions and not giving voice to them can have negative consequences.

It’s important to recognize that many of these feelings are a normal part of the event.
